17. November 2008 by Zach.
First off, there are going to be no pictures, only links. Links to large possibly really nasty pictures of a spider bite, I got on my thigh.
It started on November 9Th, with a hard spot. There was no real discoloration, just a swollen mass under the skin. Almost like a REALLY deep pimple. The next morning it was red, with an outer laying of pink, and was pretty swollen. The bump continued worsening all day. That evening my wife measured the size of the pinkness in my skin. It was about 3.5 inch circle. November 12Th, Started running a fever, so we went to the doc, got antibiotics, and cream. Also I had been taking Ibuprofen and benadryl, and “milking” the wound. My fever had not broke 100 at this point. 13Th, my fever breaks 101, and the leg oozes quite a bit, very sensitive to the touch, my clothes feel like sandpaper on my thigh, losing a lot of sleep. This continued for 2 days. Yesterday, the 17Th, I was “milking”like the doc told me to, and one of the holes popped, it was horrible nasty(I was alone and did not get a picture)! In the other hole was a different mass, probobly all of the infection from the spider, all collected up by my body, and forcing it out. Well I wanted to help so got the tweezers, clasped the head of the infection and pulled. It literally felt like a vacume inside my leg as I pulled it out. Now today as I write it feels MUCH better, but it still healing and still pretty sensitive. It leaks a bit of clear stuff, and the skin around the wound is flaking off. The skin stretched from the swelling.
OK, enough with that boring text, here are a few pictures.
The Thirteenth (Nasty)
You see the two holes? The one on the left is what I pulled this out of.
You can really see my sensor dust in that picture. OK.
